Most of the hilghts of features are flashsy nifty impressive things like Flash forms, or the new report builder, both are cool yes but not generally that cool. Somethings I would hlight are:
Java nulls Query Metadata Admin API Non of these get much talk but are usefull things that were added. The reason I think these are some of the most usefull additions is that they could all be done in 6.1 but in a hacked fashion, using the service factory of coldfusion for example. Gateways also have huge potential depending our your applications. Async gateways could be the best addition, closest thing you'll get to multithreading a CF application, without using underlying java.
