Windows XP Pro. Gig of ram. IIS. I downloaded the CFMX 7 installer (don't even have CFMX 6 installed, it's a new computer) and it kept asking me to choose another location to extract the installer to. Over and over and over...so I googled it, and found the CF Livedocs that mention the problem, and it recommends extracting to another directory without spaces in the name (C:\Documents and Settings\My Name\My Documents\Downloads\) so I created a "CFMX7Install" folder directly on the root, then went and re-downloaded the installer to a directory without spaces right off my root. I ran the installer *again* and got the same thing.
What else could I be overlooking? Is there a common problem installing CFMX 7 under IIS on Windows that I don't know about? I'm downloading the 275MB "coldfusion-70-win.exe" from Macromedia's site, and I've searched for any other reference...has anyone run into this? Is there any technote that I'm missing? I think it's like, the fourth or fifth time I've tried, and it's starting to get a little frustrating...I appreciate it in advance, thanks.
