After a lot of struggling, I've got CFMX 6.1 clustered across two machines, and
it is sharing J2EE sessions. That much is great, and is exactly what I hoped it
would be.

The only problem, is it's somewhat *more* than I was hoping for:

I wasn't expecting anything more than *sessions* to be shared, but it turns out
that the whole CFMX server is "shared."

Say I've got an index.cfm file on both servers, one that says, "Hi, I'm server
1," and the other that says "Hi, I'm server 2." If I hit server 1, I have no
way to predict whether I'll see the message from the local filesystem ("Hi, I'm
server 1") or from the remote filesystem ("Hi, I'm server 2").

I don't think I'd mind this behaviour if I weren't doing hardware load
balancing; however, I am. I'm used to being able to check the health of the
respective servers by hitting a CF-generated page: If the page fails, the
hardware load balancer removes the server from the farm until the page succeeds
again. I can't think of any way to do this, the way the CFMX clusters are
behaving.

Is there any way to disable the "CFMX server" sharing, while retaining the
"J2EE session sharing?" If not, can you give me any insight into solutions, or
some different perspective?

Thanks,
Jamie
