I've missed most of this thread so I'm sorry if I'm off base or I'm repeating someone but I thought that the RFC's stated pretty clearly that the size of a cookie could be no more than 4K and that there could be no more than 20 cookies per domain, therefore giving a total of 80Kb of cookie storage are you exceeding 80Kb of cookie storage on the client or are you saying that Opera isn't respecting the 4Kb/20 cookies rule?
BTW the only place I can find that backs up what I thought is here... http://www.cgisecurity.com/owasp/html/ch07.html#id2858662 AFAIK cookies are dumped on the LRU algorithm so the oldest one gets replaced every time you issue a new one...
