ugh, where's the data at? DBs have basic stats functions built in. Or are 
you pulling the data direct from the spreadsheet? (eeww :) ) anyhoo, not 
hard to due stdev, in fact if you have to use CF, cruise on over to 
cflib.org <http://cflib.org> and see some swell open-source code
