It is a complex COM object made in-house that we have had for about 6 years and works very well. We have multiple COM objects but only one can be instantiated in MX. Others, all of which are needed, do not work and return the error I gave. So permissions do not seem to be an issue (and I did play with DCOM permissions for a while).
As Mark has suggested however, it may just be an MX thing. We don't *need* to upgrade, 5 works fine, but I was simply looking for a platform to flex my muscles in other areas. It's not critical to the company at all, just my own career development. If anyone does have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. In the meantime I shall backup the current configuration and return to 5. :o( Thanks, Paolo > -----Original Message----- > From: George Abraham [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: 07 June 2005 18:03 > To: CF-Talk > Subject: Re: CFMX7 and COM > > > What object are you trying to instantiate?
