There might be a more elegant way to do it, but one could add a number 
to the link to the home page,
ie: href="home.cfm?seq=1"
- on the server side, put this value in a session variable;
- on client side, add an onclick handler on the link that would increase 
the value by 1 and put it back in the href;
 then, if the user clicks on the link, the page is called with seq = 2, 
if he reloads, it will still be seq = 1.
Then comparing with the session value will give you the answer.
