Can you post more information?  Perhaps the contents of the console
window after starting up, then a ps -ef | cfmx, and perhaps do a live
tail on all the jrun logs  during startup (tail -f
/opt/coldfusionmx7/runtime/logs/*.log).

Also, what's the version of Linux?
