Usenet groups (there are several covering each of these) are very active. If your ISP doesn't provide UseNet access (most do tho') the Microsoft usenet server (msnews.microsoft.com) is free. The Macromedia forums are also available for free via Usenet using the "forums.macromedia.com" NNTP server (here posts don't appear as quickly via NNTP however). You can search the archives for pretty much all text-based groups at groups.google.com to see if you want to bother setting things up. Oh, lastly - don't forget to look for related topics. For example there are several "Scripting" groups the focus on JavaScript and any DHTML groups will by definition cover JavaScript and CSS together.
