[emails off-list much appreciated!] Here's a bit more on what I'm attempting, if anyone has some insight: This is what I'm using to try and create the object: <cfobject type="COM" action="CONNECT" class="Excel.Application" name="excelObj" CONTEXT="LOCAL"> when I run that code, Win2000 runs a wizard and it seems like it is trying to register Outlook dll's.. I've registered msexcl40.dll on the 2000 machine successfully, but it still tries to run the wizard for the dll for exchange server. Does anyone know what i'm doing incorrectly?
