Hi folks, Not sure if this is a CF issue, or regular behavior of ID and Win 2000. Here's the issue:
If I open my IE and log into my application which uses session management and session variables everything works fine. If I use the Ctrl-N (or File New Window) to open a new window, my session is still maintained. If I open IE by clicking a shortcut on my computer and it opens in a new window, my session still maintains. HOWEVER, if I actually load IE again from the IE shortcut, the session is gone. I have looked at the processes on my PC and it shows 'two' instances of iexplore.exe, so I'm assuming that the session is not maintained across these two instances. My question is, can this be handled in some way or is just the way it is in regards to how the browser and OS work? Ideally, no matter how the user opens a new window, they are still 'logged in' to the system. Any way to do this, and if so, is it recommended or frowned upon? Thanks!
