well you were most likely using the mm/cf installed 0.9 version, not 
what you dropped in the classpath. if you really want to use a newer 
version of itext (and who doesn't) you'd have to use a remote classpath 
trick (such as spike's) to get & use the newer jar.

well i was able to port those over easily enough. their java examples 
are pretty easy to follow even for the java challenged. the iText 
mailing is also a great resource, with bruno & paulo (lead iText 
developers) answering 99% of the questions themselves.
