Not exactly sure what it is but all of these work fine on my dev server: www.mysite.com?var=1 www.mysite.com/?var=1 www.mysite.com/index.cfm?var=1
but only the last one works in production. We are running the same versions of windows/IIS/CF on both so it is a setting somewhere. So... yes.
