>killfiles and filters

The bad thing about using filters is that in most cases (outside of the Connie
vs. Dave war) the message may have valuable information in it that someone can
learn from (other than how to expand their vocabular).

Filters are the only option someone has if they are truly offended, other than
getting off the list, and I'm not offended enough to get the value of the rest
of the message, but I know some people would be, and especially new people
looking for a good CF resource.

>PLEASE DON'T TRY TO CENSOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT. lol

Unfortunately, 'our entertainment' is both hilarious, and sad at the same
time.  But yes, you probably had a good laugh this morning, unfortunately, I
was already tired of it by the time I left work on Friday. :-)  Oh, and I'm not
trying censor...trying to find a happy medium for everyone! (does that exist?
I doubt it.)

I guess I should sign up at www.UtopianCFTalk.com huh? :)

I think that the best way to deal with it is to take a lesson from
Jochem's posts on killfiles and filters. Control your own content and
leave people to determing what works best for them. I always try to be
as close to professional, or at least civil as I can be on the list,
because I don't want to be looking for a gig one day and have to
interview with someone I've personally berated. Personally, I wouldn't
have missed the flame war between Connie and Dave for worlds!!! I'm glad
I didn't see it on Friday or Saturday, as it was EXACTLY what my Monday
morning needed to get me off to a laughing start! PLEASE DON'T TRY TO
CENSOR OUR ENTERTAINMENT. lol
