Well - just be clear who you're made at. "Required" is a needed attribute for CFCs (which are based on objects) in all other cases... but it's an impossible concept to implement in SOAP-Based web services. That's not Macromedia's fault. So MM to keep leveraging CFCs as an easy way to develop Web Services MM either had to eliminate "Required" in ALL cases or make it behave differently when the CFC became a Web Service.
