SOAP would be a good candidate to implement in JavaScript (Flash already has it), but the protocol has gotten to be too complex and getting it right would be a complicated task - eventually it may not worth the effort. Even in Flash, some things still do not work right (for example when you have to customize target namespace for an operation).
