Thanks Ray. That was it. Here's an interesting note.... Almost every time I used this:
<MANY><STEM><WILDCARD>text* My CF service bombed. Not EVERY time, but most of the times. In any case, I'm leaving off the <STEM> and using <WILDCARD> when the are using a * in the search criteria, and that solves my problem. Thanks, yet again, for the help, Mr. Verity.
