What's the easiest way to simulate asynchronous processing on a CF6.1 standard system?
I have a CFC that is stored in the application scope. It mainly contains a large complex query that may take a few minutes to process and the business logic around it. My goal is to only run this query every so often, maybe once an hour. I think I could do this with the caching parameters, but then once an hour, somebody has to wait several minutes while the query is updated. I would like to avoid that by just firing off the update and then let that user go on and use the previous data while the query is being updated. How might one do this? -------------- Ian Skinner Web Programmer BloodSource www.BloodSource.org Sacramento, CA "C code. C code run. Run code run.
