I have a new desktop machine that we're using just internally as a file server
and to do some limited development. Our professionally hosted web site is (or
will be soon) mirrored on the machine.  This computer runs XP Pro as its OS;
the machine it's replacing was running NT 4.0.

I'm trying to get CF 5.0 (I know, we're behind) running on this machine like it
was on our retiring machine. I set up two system DSNs - they are the databases
that are running on our web host. I am able to connect to them through XP's
data sources utility in the Windows control panel, but I am not able to get my
local install of CF to connect to those DSNs.

When I try to verify a connection, I get the following error:

* Are the data source settings configured properly?
* Did you provide valid security information in the data source settings ?
* For some databases the ColdFusion Server may need to be logged in under a
special NT account rather than the default System Account. Use the Windows NT
Services Control Panel to change the account the ColdFusion Server service is
using.

Any tips on what I should try?

And if you are running CF 5.0 on an XP machine, can you tell me how the CF
services are logged in?

Thanks,

Tracey
