That is wrong. I would guess it meant to say that if CFFUNCTION is used
within a .cfc, that CFFUNCTION must be within CFCOMPONENT. CFFUNCTION
can be used almost anywhere logical within a .cfm.

Subject: cffunction must be used inside of cfcomponent? am I going
crazy??

I was just flipping through the newest version of the cfwack book for
version 7, and in the tag reference, page 1042 and 1043 it talks about
cffunction. on page 1042, it says "...It must be used in the body of a
cfcomponent" and on page 1043 it says "note: because <cffunction> tags
are only used in the body of <cfcomponent> tags, they can't be run in
..cfm files, only in ColdFusion components or .cfc files"

Is this not completely wrong? I use udf's in my .cfm files all the
time...
