Cedric, I just installed a new mail server on my windows machine at home, it was hMailServer, and it works really good so far (not so many accounts, but a lot of mails). It supports IMAP (a requirement for me) and POP3, and I use SquirrelMail for web-mail access.
The forums for hMailServer are pretty good for support as well, got some good feedback there -- but only for some minor installation issues, otherwise it has been running fine. The server needs a SQL database, and can use an existing mysql or mssql, but if there is none it will install a smaller mysql installation. http://www.hmailserver.com/ -- Hugo Ahlenius ------------------------------------------------------------- Hugo Ahlenius E-Mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Project Officer Phone: +46 8 412 1427 UNEP GRID-Arendal Fax: +46 8 723 0348 Stockholm Office Mobile: +46 733 467111 WWW: http://www.grida.no Skype: callto:fraxxinus PLEASE NOTE: NEW PHONE AND FAX NUMBERS FROM SEPT 1ST 2005 ------------------------------------------------------------- | -----Original Message----- | From: Cedric Villat [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] | Sent: Tuesday, September 20, 2005 01:25 | To: CF-Talk | Subject: OT: Mail server | | What do you guys recommend as a good Windows-based mail server? | Preferably open-source, but paid solution will work too.
