Technically, it's easy to use any external JDBC driver instead of the ones that come with CFMX. However, until DataDirect provides a new version to Macromedia, you would have to purchase the driver from DataDirect to do this, and it isn't cheap - around $4k if I recall correctly. You might instead try Oracle's own JDBC drivers, which presumably have been updated to support 10g R2.
