Beware - There are big changes if you use verity and haven't previously been
using K" flavour.

I recently upgraded a server (pro) to 7 and found out the collection limit is
set to 128 collections - As I had lots of sites on that machine a rethink was
in order.. Each site had between 3 & 4 collections each so I used the cool new
CATEGORY feature of the CFINDEX. Howver, switch that on and watch your memory
requirement SHOOT THROUGH THE ROOF. Verity would get to 500mb and bomb. Each
server has 4Gig of RAM and had plenty free.

Another rethink and I have now had to remove the flexibility where I could let
users search in different collections/categories to reduce the overhead. Now
K2Server hits about 700mb but doesn't bomb.

Maybe it's a configuration issue but I thought you should know. I'm too cheap
to pay MM £400+ for a support call. :oS

Actual people who have evaluated upgrading, and their ultimate decision
and reasons behind it are much more useful to me than the bullet issues
listed on the upgrade page on macromedia's site. That page doesn't give
me any business reason to upgrade.
