I don't think it was one of those bugs. It referred to the way that the new FTP plugin doesn't handle errors well. As in, if the connection drops for some reason, or times out, it just starts throwing errors. (a workaround is to browse the ftp site again, i.e. to change folders, and then the save goes smoothly.). So basically a try catch is needed that just reconnects to the ftp server should the connection fail.
