I completely agree. Recruiters are an excellent way to get started. Tell
them exactly what you can do and what your goals are and let them work their
magic. They know the IT employment landscape better than anyone and can
usually get you work quickly.

I faced teh same problem you did. I found the best place to go was a
recruiter. They have an uncanny ability to sell someone who might not have
every skill a client is looking for but in this tight labor market the
company might say ok because they are so depserate for people. Keep an eye
on job post sites like monster.com or computerjobs.com there are alot of
other sites as well.
