Well, this seems to be the root of the problem. It most definitely should not be returned as a number. It may be a setting in your database, it's kinda hard to diagnose. You should be able to wrap the column in a TO_DATE() function to convert it. But then again, it might only take a string parameter. Give it a shot.
-Adam Yes that is the problem, and yes To_DATE() is for date formatted strings which does not seem to be working for me. I have some hope for the TO_CHAR().
