After seeing all the hoopla over image editing CFCs, I decided to
download one and try it out (tmt_img). I then tried their sample
(http://hhp.umd.edu/includes/tmt_img/sample.cfm) and received the
error "This graphics environment can be used only in the software
emulation mode.".

After a little research, I found that this is a problem noted by the
author of the CFC and read the two links that describe solutions to
the problem:
http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_19252
http://www.doughughes.net/index.cfm/page-blogLink/entryId-29

Unfortunately, I am in a shared environment and have no control over
how things are implemented. I can ask, but I'd expect no reaction.
So my question is, are all graphic editing CFCs going to show this
problem? From the article it seems that they would, since it seems
to be based on a "headless" java hardware situation, not on the
particular CFC. So am I out on this fun?
