Off the topic of my head. Categories and sub categories (some people refer to them as forums and sub forums) Ability to subscribe to a topic and receive notifications. Topics show who started them, who last posted and when. New post tracker so u can see whets new since your last visit. Sticky topics. Announcements Locked categories/topics Password protected categories/topics Groups, so specific groups can be given access to specific categories Moderation abilities
As I said, CFBB is a good example.
