What I have done is taken the sample02_mx.cfm file and loaded it after
making all the necessary changes to the fckconfig.js file, set the
application vars and set config.enabled  to true.

I have fckeditor in the root of the website

On one site on my server it works perfectly. I set up a second site
following the instructions you gave and I get the 500 error. It is
really starting to hurt me brain.
