Hi all, I've been asked to investigate options for adding some redundancy to our server setup.
We're running coldfusion MX 7.0.1 Enterprise on one server, and my boss is interested in some options that will increase our uptime and reliability, through failover, clustering, load balancing, etc.. I have very little knowledge and even less experience in this area, so I'd like to ask the list... Those of you that are running Coldfusion servers in some kind of environment that does what I want to do... what are YOU doing? I should say that what we're looking for is redundancy more than load balancing - we don't tax the server at all. Our current setup - we have 1 web server (a poweredge 2600) running IIS 6 and Coldfusion MX 7 and 1 database server (a poweredge 4600) running SQL Server 2000. both servers are running Windows Server 2003. My boss is willing to spend money on hardware additions, which may include additional servers for clustering, failover and whatnot... NAS for centralized file storage, etc. thanks for your input!
