Funny you should mention that now. I am actually right now reviewing and
commenting on a feature spec for just this functionality. ;-) I am not
making any promises about specifics, but yes, Tim and I did indeed identify
this is as a major theme for Scorpio.

Wait for Scorpio (CF 8). I remember Ben Forta saying at CFUNITED-05 that the
CF team at then-Macromedia recognized that ColdFusion deployments are
essentially "black boxes" with regard to its internals, and they there were
going to focus part of Scorpio on providing tools to help mitigate this. In
the meantime, I've heard good things about both SeeFusion and FusionReactor,
though admittedly haven't tried them myself as yet (it's on my list!).
