Ryan,

><cfparam name="session.lastpage" default="" />
><cfset session.currentpage = "http://localhost/mypage.cfm?foo=bar"; />
>
><cfif session.currentPage EQ session.lastpage>
> Page was refreshed
><cfelse>
> Page was not refreshed
></cfif>
>
><cfset session.lastpage = session.currentpage />

There's a lot of instances where that logic isn't true. If you're site is
using frames or the user has multiple windows open, this logic fails. Also
as you stated, if a page links back to itself, the logic fails.
