I used to do this, did it in 1/4s or 1/3s depending on the jobs. However at some point in the past couple of years I have switched to strictly hourly rates. I think once I started getting so busy, one of my clients is essentially a full time job at around 40 hours per week, is when I switched to strictly hourly rates.
