Rey,

I'd check the WI state website and find out information on sales tax.
If you do the wrong thing YOU could be held liable instead of the
client.

Better to go with official than guesses. Some states will fine you if
you charge to little or too much!

Steve

Subject: Sales tax amount

Hi guys,

I'm about to release some new code to collect sales tax for Wisconsin
but before I do, I'd like to run something by you.

I just ran a test on an item that was $18 and taxable at 5.6%. That
means that the tax would be $1.008.

From your experiences, should I be rounding the tax up to $1.01 or just

setting it at $1.00?

I just want to ensure that I charge the correct amount of sales tax.

Thanks,

Rey...
