I have found a solution to the problem that I am having. Basically it is an issue with Dreamweaver 8, which I have just started using.
The details of the issues discussed on the Macromedia website http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=a3f38dcf#timestamp and are as follows: =============== Time stamps are not correctly updated on remote/testing server (Windows only) topic update: September 23, 2005 Issue When connecting to the Remote or Testing server via Local/Network, Dreamweaver does not update the remote file's time stamp. (Ref. 201278) This is not specific to any server model. Pages are correctly updated on the Remote/Testing server, and will still reflect recent changes when viewed in a browser (except ColdFusion pages, see below). Reason In such situations, Dreamweaver is not updating the time stamp on the Remote/Testing server. Solution Uncheck "Maintain synchronization info" in the site's Remote Info section. NOTE: Site synchronization cannot be used if this option is unchecked. If site synchronization is needed, consider a different access option besides Local/Network. ================= after turning off site synchronisation, things are working fine again :) Cheers, M ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:228919 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
