I usually start a forms template out by setting a cfparam for each form field then I use #form.fieldname# as the value of that field.
So unless the form was submitted, the cfparam value is used to populate the field (which by default is usually just default="") I haven't made sure that overrides the autofill features of browsers but I would THINK it would since it sets the value. ..:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.:.
