I don't know how Adobe will handle their clients, but from my experience with MM I can say that NewAtlanta is MUCH more responsive and helpful than MM was. MM repeatedly told us that their target (at least here in Germany) are the enterprise businesses and that they are not very interested in the small companies or developers. That even resulted in MM not sponsoring a European Developer conference any more. So from a developers point of view with help and support in mind, NewAtlanta and BD definitely are the better choice. About the "reputable company": why should NA not be reputable? Besides, being a more reputable company doesn't mean you have the better product. I found BD to usually be more stable and often even faster than CF. Admitted, BD doesn't have all the CF7 features, but, I am sure you agree, buying an application server should not just be a feature hunt. And of course BD has features that CF doesn't. >From my personal point of view, if I take features, volume licensing, support, >responsiveness and the overall impression into consideration, BlueDragon is >more worth the current price than CF is. No offense intended, but, if the price is your main concern, you should not look into the J2EE edition of both products anyways. Depending on the features you _need_ (could differ from the features you want ;-)) you might even consider the free version of BD. Or you might even give Railo a chance. Free in the basic version, can be deployed on any J2EE server (even the free ones), and _much_ faster than BD or CF. But, on the other hand, they are a very new company from Europe who are just about to release their first product. (Which meant for me that bugs I found were fixed within 48 hours max.) So they still have to earn their reputation. ;-) Regards, Chris ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:4:229849 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:4 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.4 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
