I already had a nice image/file manager built into my software, so just leveraged that to handle the FCKEditor functions as well. At least it is fairly easy to configure the editor to allow this. I agree that it's frustrating that the built-in controller is not more flexible. The latest version is actually pretty good out-of-the-box for CF, but still insists on creating a directory structure that may not match what a user needs/wants.
