i'll need to look up eudora's unicode handling but does the web client actually 
swap encoding? and something i forgot to ask, are the chars coming thru as 
question marks (?) or gobbledy-gook (technically known as mojibake)? question 
marks mean the data is garbaged, mojibake means a simple encoding issue.
