You've already elimintated all the stuff in between CF and your browser as potential causes, I assume? I highly doubt CFCs are to blame for your problem, though misuse of them (like anything else) could be it. I believe someone already mentioned disabling debugging, or at least the execution times, but if not, make sure you do that. Also make sure you're cachign your instances appropriately, as instantiation can be rather expensive in some cases.
