I guess you had a different problem then me. I tried updating the certs, but it didn't help. Turns out it was some weird issue regarding the timeout on the cfinvoke.
The reason we added the timout btw is that there was a problem with the other site's webservice (due to antivirus or something), and our requests were getting stuck. We've looked through seefusion and saw request running for what seemed like hours (wonder why the requesttimeout didn't take effect). Anyway, glad you've solved it as well.
