yes, in addition you could create a mapping on the live server named the same as the folder in local and map it to the webroot and it should work as expected (ie the same place as the existing / mapping on live)
if you end up having multiple virtual servers on the same box you might want to create a unique mapping for each site...so siteA would have it's own mapping, 'SiteA' and you'd reference that in your CFCs since you can only have unique names for mapping on a single cf instance jb.
