I'm confused as to how the doctype affects css. I have some tools I made and wanted to plug them into Lighthouse Pro and the doctype on lighthouse pro is strict. So when I put my tools into it, the rendered differently than they did under a different doctype. Where do I go to learn more about the differences. I understand what it is, just not what I'm supposed to do to make it look correct.
