I honestly haven't even demo'ed Alagad because I was happy, for the most part, with the free options available =) At least, happy enough to know that I didn't want to pay for something. I do know that Alagad does a LOT more stuff, but if all you need is image resizing, cropping, rotating, flipping and flopping... image.cfc should do the trick.
