the java classes or jar files MUST be in the class path no matter what you do, otherwise you can't get to them with CF. And if you put them in the default class path you don't have to adjust any cfadmin settings. I'm pretty sure things have to be in the class path to use cfinvoke too (I don't *THINK* you can use cfinvoke to invoke local class files.. like you can't just use a java class found in your web site's home directory.)
