Back to CF and Java, Instead of getting Eben's Java for CF'ers book, I recommend Head First Java, which is a much more entertaining read (no offense to anyone related to Eb's book), and as a CF developer, I will confess it is a great, great book to read. Eben's book, from my memory, is mostly for CF5 and earlier developers, and those with little to no object knowledge.
Head First Java is still being published and sold (like crazy), and is available from most bookstores.
