A group of folks and I have picked up in spirit where cfopenbb left off and are working on BoardFusion: http://www.boardfusion.org BoardFusion is not be a port of phpbb but is being built from the ground up to match feature-for-feature the more popular bulletin board applications in PHP and other languages. It will be released open source under the Apache 2.0 license and we're hoping to have something available for people to begin playing with around CFUnited time.
