Well it has just been sorted out.

The file holding the datasouce detais has the old datasouce entries
for some reasons.

The file is (on RedHat Linux):
/opt/jrun4/servers/{serverInstanceName}/cfusion.ear/cfusion.war/WEB-INF/cfusion/lib/neo-query.xml

The issue is fixed by manually editing this file. :)
However, we may not be able to set up datasouces correctly for a
while, as this file should be updated through CF administrator.
