Ok - I'm serious looking at the DB2 Universal Database Express. I think it could replace my MS SQL Server for all my needs (without the $12k Canadian upgrade I'm looking at), and it's not crippled (seriously) like the MS SQL Express Edition, and it meets my physical needs where Oracle 10g Express does not. A quick recap on the DB2 Express: 2 processors, 4GB RAM, no limit on User Files http://www-306.ibm.com/software/data/db2/udb/edition-express.html
Really, for price it looks like MYSQL (not happy with going that direction, that's a different conversation, flame me in a different thread please) or DB2 - and I'm set between the two on DB2. My only question is "How is the driver support for DB2 and ColdFusion, will I need to download anything, have any concerns, or other obstacles to overcome? I'm running default install on IIS with JRun for the ColdFusion". Stephen R.
