I'm doing a simple SELECT statement, so no CFQUERYPARAM. I do have the unicode 
option for the DSN turned on, although I know it isn't going to do anything in 
this instance.

Unfortunately, I can't put this up on a public site, but I'd be happy to post 
the CF source code and the the HTML source of the returned page if that would 
help. Sorry, first time posting here--is there a special tag on this list to 
post code?
